Grip & Rip has been a pet project of mine ever since lockdown. Powder chalk got banned at my gym, so we all switched to liquid chalk. The only brand I knew was FrictionLabs, charging $20 for a tiny bottle. Great stuff, cool packaging, but nobody I trained with wanted to spend that much on that such little chalk.

So, I did what made sense at the time: got a friend to design a logo for $20, sourced the chalk from a supplier in bulk, and started selling it for $5 a bottle. Nothing fancy. No lab, no secret formula, no Mona Lisa heist.

College got in the way for a while, but I transferred, freed up some time, and brought it back.

If you want premium chalk with premium branding, FrictionLabs is genuinely great and I'll never talk you out of it. But if you want something that does the job, ships fast, and doesn't make you feel bad about using half a bottle in one session, I got you. And if you disagree, I'll refund you.
